This position reports to our brand new, state of the art facility in Ottawa and offers easy access to highway 7. Our business is growing rapidly in this area and we are looking for someone who will jump right in, learn quick and create a long-lasting beneficial relationship with each customer they contact. Must be a highly motivated team player whose work is completed in a safe, professional and timely manner. Responsible for shipping and receiving wholegoods, customer equipment for service and some parts inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accurately complete required paperwork (i.e. receiver, shipper) in a timely manner (customer name, model, s/n, hours, attachments, condition, transport carrier etc.);
  • Inform proper Nortrax employees of received goods, i.e. Sales, Service and Parts;
  • Control and record switching of attachments to Sales Department. Identify loose attachments with inventory number from Sales;
  • Check releases and inform proper personnel of any differences;
  • Check fluid levels, control pattern of all machines being shipped;
  • Fuel all Sales machines before they are shipped from the yard;
  • Physical inventory counts, ensuring that no equipment/attachments have entered or left the yard without proper paperwork;
  • Proper stocking of whole goods in warehouse;
  • Orderly general appearance of yard and shop;
  • Ensure appropriate display of equipment in yard;
  • Cleaning and maintenance of all new and used equipment before shipping or after receiving;
  • Snow removal in yard, parking lots and walkways;
  • Assisting with year end inventory of all sales machines and attachments.
Health and Safety:
It is our expectation that all Nortrax Employees will conduct their work in a safe manner, abide by all Nortrax safety policies and report all hazardous conditions and unsafe work procedures.
Working Conditions:
Although much of the time will be situated in an office/shop environment, occasional travel to other branches may be required.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
  • Customer First Attitude;
  • Friendly, sales oriented personality, and a strong knowledge of heavy equipment and Nortrax support systems;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to control attachments being removed by Sales/Service;
  • Ability to match up attachments to appropriate machines;
  • Conscious of personal and fellow employees safety;
  • Ability to perform duties in a timely manner.
